Three days... 1100 miles!

Yes we must be mad!

Wednesday saw us headed to the Royal Norfolk Show with the two boys... Dude & Jack.

It is a long way but a really lovely show so we didn't mind the seven hour journey quite so much!

First up was Mister Belstaff who went very well but we felt he was very hard done by being dropped from third to sixth. Obviously not the judges cup of tea!

A quick trot back to the opposite ring where Jack had been standing ready for me to hop on! The class was going in so we didn't get a chance to do anymore than a very quick warm up! He was pulled second in a huge NTCP class... Despite a slightly exuberant gallop he stayed in 2nd place gaining his RIHS ticket for 2017 along with a lovely pink sash!

On Saturday we ventured north to the North of England Summer Horse Show. Unfortunately i had a fall that morning working in subsequently damaging my foot (which was still healing from an accident back in March!!). Not wanting to spend the afternoon in Grantham A&E i was determined to ride at least in one class. Mister Belstaff looked after me like the gentleman he is and went very well in the HOYS Maxi cob class but was sadly unplaced.

I decided as i had already ridden in one class and as we were already so far from home, i may as well finish off the day as i had intended.

Howetown Madrigal had his first outing after a months holiday and picked up a win in the Novice Hacks despite the horrendous weather conditions. He just keeps getting better and better!
